The PS3, Price cut or not?

It seems that Sony as officially announced that it is going to cut off $100 off the 60gb Playstation3, in the United States. But they also stated that they will continue with the 60gb, so once the system is all sold out, its sold out. And the rest of us will have to pay that regular price but for the 80gb ps3.

Its also said that the new playstation 3s are not going to have some of the same hardware. It had a part in it called the emotion engine. This engine was used for backwards compatibility for older games. They will just have to use the software updates in order to make older games run on the new system.

So this is said about the US. What about Canada? Will we see any difference in the price cut? Will we get the newer model? Stayed tune for an update on this story.
